I had grown accustomed to the subwoofer of the computer speakers that had been there before, so at first there weren't enough low frequencies for me to hear. After hearing a certain amount of mentions, I eventually grew accustomed to it. I came to understand that monitors provide the "honest" sound needed to manipulate audio. I wouldn't suggest purchasing monitors just to listen to music. They serve a distinct objective. recently made the decision to test. I removed the subwoofer from the previously mounted Microlab M310 computer speakers, linked it to an external sound card using the headphone output, and somewhat widened the frequency range. There are currently enough low frequencies available for working and enjoying music.
