Review on Brazilian Blowout Thermal Straightening Balm by Crystal Ford

Let me start this review with a little background. I'm Hispanic so I naturally have THICK, EXTREMELY curly, hard hair. I have stylists who get nervous when they see my natural mop. I've always straightened it since high school because I just feel better when it's straight. In July 2020 I received my first Brazilian blowout. Life in Louisiana is very humid and it was the best decision. Expensive but worth it. I ONLY use the Brazillian Blowout products that I received from the salon after my treatment. I want my treatment to last longer so I decided to order this. After using my Brazilian Shampoo + Conditioner, I followed the directions and applied about a quarter the size from root to tip. It seemed bold, but I didn't want to make any guesses without seeing the results first. I then applied my regular Ionic Bonding Spray and started blow drying. I immediately felt the thickness he generated. Since my hair is already very thick, this was not my goal. On the plus side, you can feel how much it protects your hair from the heat. After blow drying I ran a flat iron over it and had to be careful to put it on because my hair was so protected and I didn't feel the heat of the iron. Although with the help of a hair dryer, the hair could be straightened very well. After the whole procedure I ran my hands over it and it seemed to me like I had just made a hair mask or just left the salon. Very silky and smooth. Overall, here are my key points: • A little really makes a big difference! Next time I'll use nickel sizing • I personally start at the ends and then work down to the roots with the leftovers on my hands. I'm naturally prone to oil buildup and I think this will give me a cleaner, less greasy look. • I give it an 8/10 and will use it again. I don't have the frizzy hair I used to have, but I also liked that my hair wasn't as fluffy and thick as it was with this balm. • This photo was taken immediately after the entire process described above.
