Review on Refreshing Hydration On-The-Go: Contigo AUTOSPOUT Water Bottle 64Oz Licorice by David Naranjo

This water bottle is awesome! I went from the plastic version with the auto start straw to this one and what an upgrade! I liked my old bottle, but the internal pressure was constantly changing, resulting in water splashing on my face and shirt every time I wanted to drink, it was like playing roulette with splashes. Anyway, I decided to order this one as it's a completely different drinking mechanism and it's larger and stainless steel. I love the colour, although I wish there were more color options as there doesn't seem to be much variety that would appeal to the feminine side of us. (although I'm a woman and I liked and love the pop of color) but a purple or plum variant would be nice! I have noticed some imperfections that make this bottle difficult to use or just plain unsightly. First, there are cracks on the sides of the cap that make it easy for dirt to get in, making the bottle look dirty. Second, the lanyard is a great feature, but it's so stiff, and with a little plastic tab to hold it in place, that you absolutely need two hands to lift the strap to carry it around. This seems counterproductive when trying to do everything with one hand. The hinge and dust cover then overlap, making it impossible to lift the hinge when the cover is up and vice versa. So it's kind of a game where you have to put one in place before you can move the other. Annoying, but not a deal breaker. Next comes the inside of the cap, it's kind of weird, criss-crossed and looks like it's going to be hard to keep clean unless you pour anything other than plain water inside. I'd recommend just pouring regular water in it, especially for this reason, as mold tends to grow pretty quickly in a bottle that's been used for something else, even if you rinse it out between uses (experience shows). Then I think the notch on the bottle meant for an easy grip is actually in the wrong place. Considering you have to hold the button on the lid to drink, at least my hand is nowhere near that notch. I think it would be better to make a notch closer to the cap and narrow it where it increases towards the bottom rather than the middle of the bottle. Works well if you keep it simple, a bit strange if you actually drink from it. The last time I noticed my bottle had a small dent where the cap was screwed on. I was afraid that this would peel off the paint or make a hole, but luckily that didn't happen. This bottle has definitely helped me drink more water, it's incredibly smooth and absorbs water from the bottle into my mouth very easily. I love the anesthesia in this bottle, it's very pretty and the color is very appealing. I definitely love this bottle despite some minor flaws and plan on using it for as long as possible! If you're someone who drinks a lot of water from a bottle and you need a good bottle that keeps your drinks cold and is easy to drink, beautiful to look at and easy to use in every way, just get it! You will not regret this purchase.
