Good bike to have: my feedback

This review is for the Huffy Hardtail Mountain Trail Bike - 26 inch wheels/20 inch frame, Gloss Nickel.I was not much of a biker and have not rode a bike in ten years. When looking for a "bike", was not sure what to get or what to look for when purchasing online (i.e. can't try it out before purchasing). I picked this model mainly because of the low cost ($275.00) and good reviews. Next, I was not even sure how to pick the frame size or wheel size. After some internet reading, the 20-inch frame

Pros
  • Bike is amazing, minus the bike seat. I suggest an after market seat.
Cons
  • Poor instructions. Not easy to assemble.

Good build quality, except for inner tubes.

Good build quality, not too heavy, easy to assemble (2 starts). Front break is too tight and need to be calibrated. Read the tire pressure instruction for both tires "INFLATE TO 40-65 P.S.I.", I used a precision digital DEWALT air pump to inflate it the front tire to 40 PSI, it was quite tight so I released some pressure. When I try to inflate the rear tire, it popped at 36.5 PSI, that was a unexpected. HUFFY, you need to QC these inner tubes better, and obviously the inner tubes are not the…

Pros
  • Well made bike. Good value.
Cons
  • Limited adjustability may make it uncomfortable for longer rides

Happy with my purchase and the shifter is great

This review is for the Huffy Hardtail Mountain Trail Bike. Some of the other reviews I think have other bikes pictured.I bought this as I have no bike and my youngest keeps asking me to bike with her and I'm tire of borrowing my wife's bike. I assembled the bike and all of the necessary tools were available to complete such. Thankfully the instruction book is pretty good and everything went well. After assembly, a few shakedown tests revealed only the handlebar needed some tightening.I was most

Complete Fail best in my review

We received the bike one week ago. It looks great and my son is dying to take it out, but the bike was delivered without a seat or seat post. I called Huffy and thought we took care of the mistake. One week later I received the seat without a seat post. Now I'm on hold with Huffy again to try to resolve the issue. This has not been a positive experience at all. At this point, I am definitely regretting this purchase.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Front brake support bent, probably why I got it cheap.

I received the bike this past Thursday and assembled without much issue, but when it came to adding air for a little test ride, the rear wheel/tire, no issues. The front tire wouldnt seat tight enough and caused the inner tube to rupture suddenly and catastrophically. I wasnt aware there was an issue, so I ordered a set of replacement inner tubes online since finding 26 x 2.40 proved difficult with Schrader valves nearby. The next day those arrived and I installed a new tube, I noticed the tire

Pros
  • Durable
Cons
  • May not have proper tire clearance for larger, lower pressure tires

Most basic entry level MB. I’m too heavy

Entry level. Brakes barely stop. Shock bottoms out with my 250 lbs. Not a horrible bike. It just needs better brakes shocks and tires.

Pros
  • Mountain Bike
Cons
  • May not be ideal for riding in wet conditions

Comfortable for my opinion

This bike is worth the money 100%. Everything about it is amazing and it’s nice to ride . The ONLY problem is that the seat pipe did not fit so we had to cut a little of it off and then it worked

Pros
  • ‎Alloy
Cons
  • May not have a chainstay protector

Broken Christmas gift

The bike came broken and getting it returned has been awful. I can't afford to replace the gift until I get a refund. That's my feedback.

Cons
  • May not be suitable for rock gardens

Value for price good for me

Easy assemblyI waited for two weeks to arrive, assembly took just 15 minutes and adjust break front derailleur and today I ride 7-mile good suspension

Pros
  • Good bike!
Cons
  • Limited frame size options

You will need a spoke tool and wrenches to assemble.

You will need other tools to assemble. Wrenches. And the Spokes on front and back, at least one spoke on each tire won’t tighten, unsafe. Having to get other tools to tighten spoke. Front tire needing adjustments on many spokes as it was sort of warped. Hoping that spoke tool will remedy. If not I will return.

Pros
  • With its sleek lines and eye-catching graphics, this bike is also highly stylish, making it a great choice for those looking to make a statement with their cycling gear. Whether you prefer bold colors or understated design, this bike is sure to turn heads on your next adventure
Cons
  • May not be equipped with hydraulic brakes

Great Bike on my review.

My husband put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done. When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way.My husband did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son…

Happy with my purchase

It was not easy to assemble. The direction were the worst! Even after putting it together I had to make several more adjustments. Other than that I am very happy with the bike. Its the perfect size and looks just like the picture.

Pros
  • Assembly tutorial is located in the related video shorts section; bathed in a beautiful Ocean Blue Gloss, the Exxo mountain bike is ready to explore your favorite trails; ideal for ages 13 and up and a minimum rider height of 5 feet
Cons
  • May not have a lock-out fork

Broken Pedal in 3 weeks of light use

The bike is moderately comfortable. Brakes are decent. After spending over $400 for the new bike, I would have expected few months of reliability & durability. Instead, the right pedal just came off. The tread has worn off and it does not stay on after using Allen wrench. Dissatisfied since new pedals will be required within month of purchase.i would expect Huffy to send complimentary replacements as a part of warranty.

Cons
  • May not have a tapered headtube

Worth the money: my feedback

It was easy to assemble and it rides smoothly. Just make sure to properly inflate the tires before taking it out for a ride.

Pros
  • Available in 24", 26", and 27.5" sizes, this mountain trail bike is highly versatile, fitting a range of riders of different sizes and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a beginner, there's a size that's perfect for you
Cons
  • May not have a professional-grade finish

Does not arrive ready to use

I had to return the first order of this bike I got due to missing parts. The second order was complete, but I had to take it to a bicycle repair shop to repair the front tire, replace the tube, tighten the seat, and remove and reposition the brake handles.

Pros
  • It took for ever to arrive, but it was well worth the wait! I love it!!!
Cons
  • I found two major issues with this bike:1. There's some int

I hate this bike - my new review

It looks nice but it arrived without a seat post so we can’t put a seat on. I was on hold with customer service 2 hours to get one abs never picked up. It can’t be rode by my son. It was almost $400 and is a piece of crap with the worst customer service ever. I hate this company and will never buy from them again. I will return it and will tell everyone about my awful experience.

Pros
  • Performance-oriented
Cons
  • May not have a suspension fork that is adjustable

Rip Off - Stay Away!

Bought this bike and in 8 months the shifter broke. No fault of the rider. Just gave out. I rang Huffy customer service and they told me there is a 6 month warranty on this bike. I was two months out of warranty. There was nothing they would do for me other than quote me the price for a new shifter. This is a complete scam and a rip off. Stay away. A major part of a bike should not break in under a year and then not be covered. By the way, I had a professional bike shop put the bike together. So

derailleur broken straight out of the package

It's a cheap bike, but you get what you pay for. We had to take it to a bike shop for repair as soon as we assembled it because it wouldn't shift gears. Very disappointed in Huffy.Plan on adding $80-100 to the price to account for the repairs it will inevitably need once you unpack it. I wish there was a way to get a partial refund to pay for the necessary repairs and to account for the fact that I received a damaged product.I would have returned it if it wasn't such a hassle and, based on the…
