My 3 year old grandson loves dinosaurs and loves this collection. They are a very good size and are definitely firm. Some have complained that the colors aren't realistic for dinosaurs, but as my grandson often says, "it's just an illusion". If your kid loves dinosaurs then this is a good set. Only criticism is the initial smell, which didn't surprise me. I washed them in warm, soapy water and let them sit on my back porch in the summer sun for a few days. It got rid of the smell for the most part. If you leave them in a closed box, say overnight, you'll smell them first when you open them, but once you're outside, the smell will soon go away.
