This replacement connector is identical to the damaged original connector that I removed. The pens fit together perfectly and I have no complaints about this product. What's not cool is trying if you've never done it before (I'm speaking on my own). I took the liberty of buying a hot air repair tool and some no-clean flux. Original PS4 Pro solder, like many other electronic devices, is now lead-free. That means a lot more heat is needed to melt this material. Be sure to hear everything smoothly and do not rush to remove the damaged connector, otherwise you can tear off the contact pads, which are almost impossible to repair. Don't try this with a simple soldering iron. All of this to say that I was able to fix my PS4 for the long term, but it was definitely a learning experience. If you're unsure of your skills, take it to a repair shop with the right tools and skills.
