My first comment is "reversible" but in my experience there is a soft side and a not so soft side. I'm not too upset about that because the softer side is the one with the pattern I like, so it's still facing out. The soft side is very, very comfortable. Honestly, I'm not usually a big fan of cotton, but this changed my mind. The duvet cover I bought is actually softer than my microfiber sheets. And I think you could use some washing methods to make it even softer. My second comment is that the bindings are not that good. They work, don't get me wrong, but they don't seem to be particularly durable. I tied them too tight and when I used my nails to untie the knot some of the bow fabric started to loosen a little. The material of the case itself seems strong enough, but the fasteners aren't very. However, I will say that it is much easier to close a duvet cover with zippers than with buttons. My third tip: PLEASE read the washing instructions before you buy. They must be tumble dried WITHOUT HEATING. Because of this, it can take about 6 hours or more for the coating to dry completely. I also have an old dryer so I have to restart the cycle every 1.5 hours. Cotton needs special care, you know that, but I had no idea how long it would take to wash and dry this bedspread. My fourth comment - ending on a high note, I was very impressed with the print quality of the material on this duvet cover. No bleeding, no slipping of seams and prints - all very high quality. Overall the only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the ties aren't the best and the washing process is a hassle.
