The first microphone I received was bad. The sound was muffled and of poor quality (I removed the plastic wrap). Video quality is good, but not as good as the Amcrest 4k cameras and nowhere as sharp as the 4k videos you see on YouTube. I ordered a replacement and hope the mic in this one is better. (Update) The second device's microphone was better, but still not nearly as good as the Amcrest 4K cameras. Amcrest cameras microphones are clear and white noise is constantly present in this device's microphone. (Update #2) I ended up returning the second unit because I did a music test and the quality was so bad it sounded like a cheap old tin speaker. So if you want a cheap device (pay $60) that has a microphone but it's not great but the video looks good. This is a way to save a few bucks compared to Amcrest 4k cameras. But if you want a camera with a good microphone, go for the Amcrest 4K cameras.
