I bought a 2019 Macbook Pro for my new job and returned it almost immediately. This did NOT work on my Mac. First, the USB C intended for the charging cable does NOT charge. I was shocked to see the battery level drop even though it was connected to power through the docking station. Second, when the dock is connected, I can't get audio to work properly over Zoom. The native audio jack doesn't work at all and when I plug my headphones into the docking jack I hear sound but others can't hear me. I tried several configurations and settings and couldn't get the audio input and output to work properly in Zoom (although it worked fine in MS Teams). Finally, note that since it only plugs into a USB-C port, on a Mac you can just plug in an external monitor and have it "extend" or act as a separate display. It was my fault for not doing enough research before purchasing, but if you're running two external monitors and want to see different apps on each screen, you'll need a docking station, which is connected to two ports at the same time.
