Not shiny under water. I also had to pay $2 to get it back. Damn stupid. It literally looks like small sharp black rocks. Nothing special. 20€ is definitely not worth it.

I bought 6 bags for my 55 gallon tank. Nothing in this product is as advertised. It doesn't shine, it rusts, it raised my pH from 7.2 to 8.4, it's attracted by magnets, and has little plastic balls/sticks mixed in. Of the 60 pound "quarts" only a handful were genuine. Completely disappointed in this product and this company. Will emphatically avoid any product this company makes.

I have struggled with high pH and high alkalinity. My nitrates are through the roof too! I don't have any fish yet! Petco advised me to remove all of the water and replace it with natural spring water. I tested the spring water before adding it to my aquarium and the readings were perfect. At first I thought the reason for the lethargy between them was that my rooster pinched them slightly, but they lived with another rooster and didn't squeeze at all.
