Important note for Windows 7 users: you should treat this like most other accessories - install drivers from the included disc, THEN plug the wheel in. If you try to let Windows 7 find working drivers by itself, it won't work. Install the drivers from the disk and everything will work like clockwork. I was looking for a cheap road bike with a decent feature set but not at a ridiculous price. I mean, I'm not using this thing to compete in a virtual F1 Grand Prix or any other kind of racing, so a $500 steering wheel isn't going to pay for itself when I start my career. I just wanted a decent, reliable steering wheel to add a new level of fun/immersion to my racing games. This caught my attention because it advertised feedback/vibration in addition to a nice set of controls (all the usual controller buttons and pedals) and it was under $100! Nothing happens apart from first impressions and about an hour of gameplay. I confess I wasn't expecting much so this bike exceeded all my expectations. For such a cheap bike (the average price seems to be over $200 and I've seen some approaching $1,000!) it's very well made. If it feels solid AND it's a good weight. It feels like it will stand up to some use. Installing Windows 7 on my desktop was easy. Install the drivers and then connect them. Boom, boom, boom! Then go race! (I'm a father of 3 kids, I'm required by law to use those dad jokes!) They say Windows 10 is plug and play. My laptop is running at 10 so I'll try again later. It is also compatible with PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch (both directly with the device and when docked) and XBox One. I have PS3, PS4 and Switch. I'll probably try them later. The PS4 and XBox One connections appear to be a bit more complicated. It comes with an extra cable (USB to Micro-USB) because you need to connect the steering wheel directly to the controller and console. It comes with a handy quick guide on how to connect to one of these consoles, which explains the process quite clearly. Notice a lot of feedback or something. I'll play with the in-game settings because I'm pretty sure that's where the reason for the lack of vibration lies. If not, it's Early Access, so that's another likely culprit. Then I switched to Grid Autosport. I noticed a slight vibration, nothing serious and no "force feedback". However, the wheel has built-in resistance to returning to center and offers a good click. Again, I'm going to play around with the settings because I'm sure there are a lot of them there and not the steering wheel's fault. All in all, if you're looking for a racing wheel with a good feature list that won't break the bank, I recommend this one. It is cheap, but certainly not "cheap". You probably won't see them at a virtual Formula 1 Grand Prix, but these s represent excellent value for money and will either whet your appetite for a racing wheel; In this case, you end up switching to a more expensive model with more features and functionality. Or it will satisfy your craving for the wheel and hopefully you will have a long and happy relationship with it. After all, it feels like it's built to last.
