Bought as a safe play area for adopted kittens. It's well made, durable, easier to install than roll but not too bad. It just doesn't seem deep enough for kittens. It was not attached with a small scratching post, but rather dark inside. All of this is my own inexperience with newborn kittens. This item is suitable for non-climbers, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, turtles, etc. to keep them safe indoors or outdoors. I wouldn't buy a black lined ballpoint pen. In particular, I don't want to return this because it's very well done and I still find it useful, but with younger kitties before they get into crazy flash mobs.
