Review on 🌊 Aqua Coat: Premium White Cabinet Wood Grain Filler - Low Odor, Fast Drying, Non Toxic & Environmentally Safe (Quart) by Alan Massey

I had old oak cabinets with black granite. It was dark in my kitchen. Instead of spending $50,000 on new cabinets, I decided to only spend $500 on paint and new hardware. I had a problem: oak grain. After watching numerous YouTube videos about grain filling, I came across a paint channel that only used AquaCoat. I figured it looks easy enough and dries fast enough to risk it. I'm glad I did! I followed the instructions exactly. I had already degreased and pre-sanded my doors when it arrived. The first layer lay flat. I used an old credit card and put on latex gloves. It gets sticky. I sanded lightly when it was dry, maybe just 40 minutes after application. Added second layer. I felt that the second layer would not give me the results I wanted. I only applied the third layer on top. IMHO, for the best filling results, go against the fibers. I applied my final 340 grit sand very easily and then primed with BIN Shellac. You will need it. Don't limit yourself to just a water based sealer as you will end up with orange streaks. Without turning it into a cabinet painting workshop, I finished my project. In total I applied 3 coats of AquaCoat on the top (2 on the bottom). I didn't fill the boxes with grain. Doors only. I applied 2 coats of adhesion primer that I sprayed. I then applied 2 coats of BIN before applying colour. I wanted a thorough base coat. I used Alabaster SW in Emerald Eurethan. I waited 2 days between coats and 5 days before hanging the doors to give them a little hardening. If you hang them up too quickly, you will have a color error. Now I have found a special cabinet color like Renner and Milesi that I will use next time. But the SW on my doors is hardened and looks great. This project is not for the faint of heart! This is time consuming. Your hands WILL hurt! Many people spend extra money on new doors. I didn't set aside $2,000 for new ones. The pros charged me $5,500 to putty and paint my cabinets. Since this isn't my first carpentry job, just my first oak experience, I knew I could get the job done for a fraction of the price. The $500 I spent included primer, paint, Port sander, new high quality Purdy brushes and rollers (don't use cheap stuff! It's your kitchen!), Revain sanding blocks and pads, and new hardware exactly here. . Revain, AquaCoat by Revain and 2 new lights. You can NOT see any grain on my doors where I used this material! I didn't do the back of the doors or the frame. You can see the grain. My kitchen is changing! I feel happiness in my kitchen. It feels modern. This review was written 6 months ago and I haven't had a single product fault. Watch as many videos as you can find. If you have oak vanities and have never painted cabinets before, I recommend starting with that. This is a small project where you can improve this skill. I also painted my oak washbasins with AquaCoat. My kitchen project lasted several weeks. I have worked alone. My husband took care of me because he didn't have the previous experience that I had. you will be hurt You get tired. And you get impatient. Don't be the kind of person who wants to rush. Any color or product error will result from impatience.
