Review on REDCAMP Ultralight Sitting Waterproof Outdoor by Shaylon Bateson

I ordered these to use with the Therm-a-Rest seat cushion. While they mostly get the job done, they don't compare well to Therm-a-Rest. (1) The foam is slightly stiffer, making it uncomfortable to sit on and more difficult to fold. Sure, it's pre-complex, but it doesn't have the perfect quality that Therm-a-Rest has. The thin outer plastic foam layer is harder, making it feel and look less comfortable. While Therm-a-Rest is almost like skin, REDCAMP is more like crumpled/crunchy foil. Is it terrible, no, it's just not profitable. (3) The velcro attached to the padding is bulky, tends to protrude beyond the seat base the very moment you try to sit on it, and then starts and clings to your imagination no matter what you're wearing , be it trousers or a nice sweater. I replaced mine with paracord (much better). (4) They are slightly smaller than Therm-a-Rest. The big question for me is would I buy them again? Simple answer: no. I have very little regret about my decision and wish I had bought another Therm-a-Rest seat cushion, even though I could buy two REDCAMP cushions for the price of one Therm-a-Rest cushion. But are REDCAMP pads that bad? No, but unless you're poor I think you'd be better off spending your money on Therm-a-Rest even if it costs twice as much. Happy buyer!
