I preferred this camelback backpack because of the price (I felt cheap). I read various reviews about it and felt like it would work for me. I use it as an emergency pack in my car in case a situation like shtf comes up. After reading the reviews I knew enough to prepare a hydration pack before using it to get rid of the bad plastic taste. So I flooded it with chlorinated water for a week, cleaned and rinsed several times. I then topped it up with tap water and added a scoop of instant coffee for another week. Then cleaned and rinsed again. I filled it up with tap water, drank a little through a straw and tasted like water. I put the hydrator back in my backpack. Put some knives inside. Some food for a (hopefully) temporary emergency, tank bars, and a few other goodies. Some first aid items. I'll add more as I progress. It's expandable, but not quite like some of the larger ones. This is for emergencies only. Keep it in the trunk of my car. When you live in Phoenix, Arizona, the essential thing is a hydration pack. It's 2.5 liters. Clean it every two weeks to keep the water fresh. Will likely add a military style canteen for extra water given the heat here. But yes, I give 5 stars.
