The gloves are made from nice leather and have a very nice cashmere/wool lining. All of the design elements are there and really "work" with the touchscreen. Haven't worn them out in the cold yet but I imagine they're great for light gloves, probably even better than the previous two similarly priced SMS glove sets I've tried in terms of warmth and durability during the processing had. carefully. They're also pretty nicely packaged. Comfort aside, let's get into more detail about what you're really here for - Issues: I have small hands. When I measured my hand using the suggested method, my measurements were half a size smaller than the suggested smallest size. Okay, honestly, my hands are tiny and I can't expect a big market for my unique presidential hands. I decided to give it a try and ordered the smallest size. So I was ready for maybe some flexible fingertips. What I found instead was both better and worse. The thumb on the right is SIGNIFICANTLY longer than the thumb on the left. So it's the only digit that's too long, which is a pretty nasty mistake given that it's a simple text editor. All other fingers are about the right length, if not a bit short. However, they are too wide, which is a common problem with the rest of the glove. In fact, the palm and wrists appear to be made for a man who weighs at least twice as much as my already chubby one. I would attribute it to my mittens being slightly smaller than intended, but to be honest anyone of a moderately healthy weight and large hands to properly fill these gloves would probably have their fingertips pierced as well! I'm actually all for the non-greasy glove line as it could be really nice for some of my friends and family, but I don't recall any mention of plus sizes on the product page or packaging. I would also like to point out that the cuff and stitching on the back of the arm are purely decorative in nature and provide no significant benefit. Personally I find the stitching a bit oversized and the cuff while looking nice is too big and if you want the second button to be away or further from the first to actually make it usable. All photos have a hidden line in the palm. It has a somewhat questionable design and seems to create awkward creases when articulating the arms. Also, it's not particularly pretty, but taking the inside of the fist I'd give it up if it seemed more functional. In addition, there is a small elastic tip at the base of the underside of the wrist. Great idea, and it actually works, or at least it would work if it wasn't tiny. If the elastic was a bit stronger and about twice as wide, it would actually help these gloves fit a wider range of hands. Finally, the part that probably interests you the most: text messaging. Well it works, but if you keep the screen reasonably clean you might find that the gloves tend to stick to it instead of sliding over it. This is particularly problematic with my flexible right thumb tip, but at least that last part is likely a unique defect in my particular pair. The ubiquitous slightly greasy phone screen would probably solve this, or actually put some leather oil on the gloves which honestly could have been used anyway as they were a bit dry.
