They have a dual purpose.
I just bought a new receiver to replace one that blew up after 10 years of hard use and my new one has Dolby Atmos. I really didn't want to buy dedicated speakers for this purchase as I already owned several Klipsch KG.5 bookshelf speakers which would be perfect for the task. I wanted to build some bases that would allow me to get the required 15% boost but decided to look around to see if something similar already existed. Wow I found these puppies perfect for my needs! And they work great sitting on my Belle. An inexpensive solution to the problem, likely for many.
