The bag I received looks small, but it is actually made up of many buttons, like a cup or something. I have different colors, textures, opacity and button sizes. Some had repeats (between 2 and 10 of the same, most had around 4), while others were unique for a reason (e.g. color) but were otherwise the same. So if you're looking to replace the buttons on a kid's shirt, you can do it with a rainbow of colors and the same style/size. Most of my buttons were pink/red, green and blue. One black button, one tortoiseshell, two gray ones, etc. The only neutral buttons in the dozen or so assortment are white buttons (but few of the buttoned ones are textured, striped with transparency, etc.). There were very few different shapes, maybe half a dozen in all (heart, butterfly, star). In short, everything is as in the picture. Couldn't be happier
