Bulky best in graters, vegetable slicers and slicers
Bulky. If you put a piece of cheese in it, it literally takes a little effort to make it work. The lid doesn't stay in place so you have to keep stopping to adjust it and it slips off more than once. I wouldn't recommend pepper jack cheese as the pepper chunks get stuck, are harder to maneuver and you need some sort of brush to remove the cheese chunks and fat from the inner cylinder. A regular cheese grater will do the job just fine.
