Review on Southern Tide Home Printed Skipjack Cotton Coral Sheet - Twin Size by Jessica Lawson

Hardwearing percale fabric

I ordered (orange) Fish Print Coral, double size, June 2020. Fun print and color. Tablet. Pet hair can be removed quite easily. Cotton percale sheets (loved by many for their special properties) will always wrinkle after drying. This is a sign that it is actually 100% cotton and percale. They're stiff enough that the crumpled nature is a little easier to work with than some of the thinner percale sheets. I took off a star because I would have liked a better seam. Nothing unravels and it's neat enough, but it's a single stitch and it ends up going over the edge of the material leaving little tails of tangled threads that you don't want to cut or they might get tangled. . It's ok since the corners of a flat sheet aren't usually visible. But that could have been done better. There are 3 types of smooth sheets (not even including all the hot, pill-prone synthetic types): 1) slippery smooth synthetic satin or silk sheets (not these), 2) slightly slippery and soft (microscopically fluffy) smooth cotton sateen fabrics (not this) ) and 3) not at all slippery type of smooth cotton percale fabric, where fluff does not shed at all and animal hair is better than satin fabric (this is this type of smooth percale). I don't, and some people find the satin weave's light, microscopic nap a bit itchy or hot. I personally find the satin fabric tingly/itchy on cheeks and sensitive skin, and I don't like that it can bunch up. These sheets will never be satin fabric, very soft on my fingers and palms but not itchy. not on my more sensitive skin like my cheek on a pillow. They're smooth in comparison.) You're talking about 200 threads. They're a lot thicker than another brand of supposedly long staple 200 TC cotton percale sheets I just bought (they're so thin they're see-through and I'm considering returning them). I would never describe these leaves. as "silky" as another commenter in 2016. This is the typical weaving feel of percale, and while percale is sometimes described as soft after many washes, it's by no means as silky or slightly fluffy as a satin weave. These are crunchy sheets that are likely to last longer and get softer and better with age.
