I love this humidifier, it works great! Like many others, I initially thought my humidifier was broken. It was full of water and I turned it on and at first it didn't do anything. This is how I got mine working, hope it helps someone else :) 1. Remove the lid and then take out the cotton filter.2. Be sure to wet the entire cotton filter and then reattach it to the lid. (Be sure to turn right when attaching)3. Fill with water and switch on. Press the power button more than once to change the activated setting! - If it stops working, probably because the cotton filter inside is dry, just wet the whole thing again.
