I had questions about this but I answered every last one. I have a lot of rust on the driver's side rim. I had to take a picture beforehand as I was steps away from buying a new BMW rim. I decided to try this stuff because it's worth the risk ($13 for example). get rid of it all My tire rim looked brown rather than silver today and now looks like a brand new rim. Unbelievable. I will be buying more of these for future use and cleaning my wife's X5 tire rims. Just blown away. I would use this if you think about it. It may not work for you the way it did for me, but once you saw how frustrating this rim has become you would understand why I rate it so highly. 10/10 if I could put it down.
