DOBOT MOOZ-3: Incredible Color Mixing 3D Printer

Since the development of FDM in 1988, additive manufacturing using plastic extrusion has come a long way. After the first FDM patent expired in 2009, many companies developed a wide range of so-called 3D printers with plastic filaments. At the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2019, more than 50 companies presented their versions of 3D printers using plastic, metal, ceramic, resin, food and other components. One of the best products was presented by the Chinese company Shenzhen Yuejiang Technology Co. Ltd., which prints in multiple colors. The newly launched modular DOBOT MOOZ-3 3D color mixing printer features delta structure and high printing efficiency. Equipped with a three-color, three-extruder printhead, I can easily create mixed-color print jobs with a controller that extrudes through a single nozzle. By setting different feed speeds and printing times for three different colored raw filaments, many different patterns can be obtained. It is very versatile with two color mixing schemes in CMY color mode to 3D print your desired color samples. When the ยฃ25 box first arrived I found all parts and parts well packaged and very well described. Took about four hours of careful assembly with excellent instructions to assemble (although I wish they were printed larger). The initial setup requires a three-point alignment process that is actually very easy to perform, being mostly automated with a single sheet of paper. Next comes the mandatory Z-axis motion control customization, which was also very easy to do. After the machine is "leveled" three spools of colored filament need to be fed into the extruder motors and PTFE tubes (polytetrafluoroethylene or teflon) so that they can reach the heated nozzles (this was a bit difficult due to the geared motor's strong springs, but this is good to ensure a continuous supply to the print nozzle). Once activated, the easy-to-use controller and app delivered rich color print patterns, making the MOOZ-3 suitable for most beginners and hobbyists. teachers and artists. Two print modes, including color swap and color blend, produce different colors of my creation using CMY (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) that blend perfectly with each other through a single nozzle in layers of my choice, or switch seamlessly for faster and more accurate results. The filament is applied to a detachable magnetic heated glass platform which improves the flatness and stickiness of my prints (it also comes with a sticker to protect the glass platform from possible damage). MOOS-3 shows very high efficiency and incredible fidelity. With the 0.4mm tip I get detailed and great results. The 3-input and output color mixing print head not only provides rich mixing of color combinations of print objects, but also achieves high efficiency and ultra-fast printing speed. The different colors harmonize perfectly with each other, so I can easily create multicolored objects. Being a new 3D printer, I had many questions for the DOBOT representatives, who responded to my emails quickly and efficiently. There were some problems connecting my 15" MacBook Pro to the MOOZ-3 device, but they repeatedly helped me to make the necessary settings in the Ultimaker Cura 3.1 program. I quickly realized that it is much more efficient to remove models from from various free or low cost sources in STL, OBJ or AMF format, which are then sliced by the Cura software and then stored as Gcode files on a flash drive.. By using a flash drive had to my computer will not be constantly plugged in during the printing process, which can often take anywhere from two to 11 hours depending on the size and complexity of the print model.Screen printed patterns that I downloaded to my computer, DOBOT representatives made colorful and adorable vases, figurines and other items They were transferred to a flash drive, which was then inserted into the MOOS-3, which featured a touchscreen microcomputer controller was allowed, with which I started the creation process. After adjusting the combination of colors and layer sizes, another screen lets me choose which model I want to print, and with a touch, the process begins. In the last two months of experience I've printed 25 models (see three part failures due to adhesive delaminating from the base during printing. This issue was resolved by cleaning the base after each print and then applying the purple Elmer washable glue stick before each cycle .This is a simple and inexpensive technique that guarantees successful prints every time.I am very pleased with the resulting prints with excellent resolution (fine detail) and minimal filament removal after completing the .file on the SD card that the firmware provide option to resume the interrupted print job. Another cool feature of DOBOT MOOZ-3 allows me to wirelessly send files from my iPhone XS Max (it's also compatible with other mobile phones) to a 3D printer without the need for a cable Requires tedious wired setup or connection to a computer Following are a Here are some of the key features of the MOOZ-3 3D printer and accessories: Printer dimensions: 11.5 x 12.5 x 12.1 inches. Adapter input 100-240V, 50/60Hz, 1.8A max. Diagonal LCD touch panel inches Nozzle diameter 0.0236 inches Layer resolution 0.002 inches 0.012 inches Nozzle temperature 500ยฐF max Heated bed temperature 212ยฐF max โ€/sec Operating temperature 32104ยฐFDOBOT MOOZ-3 is one of the most innovative and reliable 3D plastic extrusion printers on the market. This is a great company with a very bright future!
