We took two of these bottles to Mexico and refilled them regularly with tap water. I've heard Mexican water wouldn't agree with you, but we took a chance and tried these bottles and felt great. We stayed dehydrated for a full week in Mexico without worrying about buying bottled water anywhere. I am very satisfied and not too regular. I've used other filter straws like this one and this one was a little easier to vacuum than the others. It was a plus. The mouthpiece is made of durable square plastic, so sucking is not very comfortable. The bottle is cheap for a reason, but it does the job.
