Very attractive door. It looks great in my living room blocking access to the front door. I wasn't looking for something that offered security (dogs couldn't get through) and this fitted the bill. It blocks the entrance so my disabled dog doesn't get stuck on the hardwood floor there. Now my 3 dogs don't realize that they can easily push him off the spot. So just keeping them away from the door works well. If you have an aggressive dog or a determined runner, this gate may not work for you if you try to keep it off the door. They are very light and easy for humans to pass. We love it. The only downside is that the stabilizers are a bit loose. They are not attached and are simply placed on the underside of the gate. Since I have hard floors, it doesn't bother me. This can be difficult if you have a thicker carpet or rug.
