I live in the Pacific Northwest in the city that received the most rainfall of any region in the continental United States a few years ago. Everything is typically damp and dark here from the end of September to the beginning of June. I have a small barn and due to the constant darkness during the rainy months my chickens stop laying in early November and do not lay again until April due to the lack of light (clouds block the sun some days which is like twilight all day). So I have a timer lamp in her coop that requires four very long extension cords from my house. I bought these to protect my forks from the rain, wet, and random creatures. They proved excellent and kept the candles going for several months. While my chickens have been annoyed by this at times, they have withstood a certain level of abuse. I even slammed a chicken coop door and it didn't break. I am very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone who wants to keep their forks dry and safe.
