Leaking: Cables, Adapters and Multiple Sockets

I do not recommend these covers if you need a tight connection. Bought these covers for my Christmas lights this year. I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains a lot. These lids are well made and close securely. They are enough to connect two extension cords. But they did not save from the water. Three weeks of bad weather and they were half filled with rainwater.

Big size. Very important.

This is my second purchase. Used the first purchase last year for a Christmas light show. Works well with thicker cables and larger plugs. Easy to open and a pleasant click when closed. I also have a lot of CoreSafe cases - they are good and will always have a place on my displays. Denwenwils don't feel as durable, but the price justifies the tiny compromise in materials.

I love this protector!

I've tried 6 different types of connector protectors and while most of them suit individual applications, this one seems to cover the widest variety. As many will likely agree, cable ends come in all sizes, and unless you have a device that's both versatile, easy to use, and works as advertised, chances are you're trying to build something. This lid works with a variety of connection types and does it VERY well, plus the added bonus that it's very easy to lock in place. Thank you!

Well built. not weatherproof only

I bought it in spring and used it outdoors all summer until the end of October. I connected an outdoor fountain to it. It has never stumbled but when I opened it to take it off. it had almost an inch of water in it. It was placed on my deck so it was never submerged. All gaskets were in place, cables fit snugly. When I first set it up. I thought this thing was waterproof it's so well made. I do not think so. The one I hung vertically to connect my pendant lights spilled water when I undid the…

A little tricky to use

I used this in our above ground pool to start the pump. I feel more confident using the pool after installing this. A little difficult to open the first time. Additionally, there are black connectors at each end of the cable. When I opened the case, each connector was only on one side. It is split in half so I took 1 half and put it on the other side so all 4 pieces are on the 4 ends (not 2 pieces on 2 sides). It's hard to explain and I don't know if you should or not because the instructions…

Good seals - electrics

I don't usually write reviews. I have read reviews of these cord cases and there have been many negative ones saying hard to open, nails chipped, broke the first time etc. I'm taking my time with this review as these are good cord cases. I even attached photos because they close well, I ordered others which were rubbish and sent them back to Revain. I give these cases an A because they cover well. It seems to me that they are brittle in winter because they are plastic. Don't be afraid of the…

We used an extension cord for smokers as well as LED lights on our patio. We ran into an issue where our GFCI kept failing in the garage. After discussing this with our electrician, he made several suggestions as to what could be causing this. It turns out he was right. The position of one of the wires allowed water to enter the connector, triggering the GFCI switch. I opted for a shorter extension cord AND a protective case. When we received it we mounted it on the deck and hooked up our…

Keeps forks dry and secure

I live in the Pacific Northwest in the city that received the most rainfall of any region in the continental United States a few years ago. Everything is typically damp and dark here from the end of September to the beginning of June. I have a small barn and due to the constant darkness during the rainy months my chickens stop laying in early November and do not lay again until April due to the lack of light (clouds block the sun some days which is like twilight all day). So I have a timer lamp
