This isn't off-brand "model magic," as I assumed. It's like a cross between model magic and silly putty. It starts out oddly fluffy but a bit wet and slimy feeling (not in a bad way, as those who love slime can attest!) After a few minutes of being handled, it did firm up. It was kind of reminiscent of the old DIY oobleck effect, but way less messy! My 5 and 3 year olds had a great time with it, but it was a bit messier than I had expected.
