It’s probably not sturdy because they didn’t hit the studs with all three screws. 1” boards fix this problem and look good. I bought a 12’ section that comes in two 6’ sections. I was skeptical. I had three companies come to my home to give me a quote for a railing. The prices were outrageous! My wife and I have been remodeling our house for the last six months with the help of our son. All carpet was removed and replaced with luxury vinyl plank (even the stairs). This is an excellent product! I would highly recommend it. It looks so nice and luxurious! It has a mat black color on it. The installation is easy! You just need a tool to find the woods behind your wall for the screws. You can get it from Walmart or Home depot.

Needed a handrail for elderly mom living with us in the lower level of our home and that went well with the decor. It fit the bill and is a quality product that didn't require expertise or special tools to install. Only issue we experienced: they sent us two for the price of one. Can't get them to respond/provide what's needed to return the extra rail.

The handle looks great. The installation required two people because of the length of the railing. There was a snafu in that the instructions said to insert the bracket and turn it clockwise to lock in place. (The picture in the instructions showed it as a counter clockwise turn.) I bent the locking mechanism on two of the brackets. Say to I replaced a broken rail. This rail was an easy to install and durable. I have heavy stressed it with excessive weight and it has proved durable beyond expectations. If I had any bad comments about it would be the finger rail underneath the extruded rail is made of rubber and difficult to slide in but not impossible. The finished product that is a superior product.
