Review on 🚦 Ediors 2 White Hide Away Strobe Tubes: Enhanced Replacement Bulbs for 80w / 120w Kits Headlight by Sam Calderon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Made in China; Works well so far, but lasting impression takes time

2 further ratings are useless. My ride: 2004 TL 6MT This kit is probably made in China but so far all 4 flashes are working. I installed them on the underside of the rear bumper (2 on each side) and tied them to the reverse light. Lots of pedestrians in parking lots ignore it, and the last thing you want to do while driving is run over someone. So I installed them as a warning to others and my safety. I chose neon lights over LEDs because I like the special flashing properties of neon lights. I installed the control box behind the left and right side of the trunk trim and the switch box on the trunk lid (had to cut a square hole for access). The neon tubes are poorly made, each mounted at an angle on the base so I had to carefully straighten them out. To protect against water I applied silicone sealant to the inside of the rear bumper (could not completely cover the perimeter) and the Airbus A320 taillight lens on the outside using 3M double sided tape and silicone sealant. Note that it's rated for 120W so the OEM reversing lights will flash in sync with the strobes if you're driving the same route as me. In this case a relay may be required. I'm not sure how long they will last, but I hope they will last. UPDATE (10/27/16 EST): Neon bulbs treated with clear silicone sealant are actually waterproof. My lens collected rainwater and the lamp was completely submerged in water. It still works. It's frustrating that even though there are about 4 flashing modes, the pattern resets to the default every time you turn off the device.
