Firstly, I did not use them for their intended purpose and the seller is not responsible for any damage that may be caused by my actions. I bought this liner to put on my new deck to protect it from falling amber from my Weber kettle and BBQ smoker. So far it has worked very well and I am very satisfied. I will say that it is like a sponge when it rains and holds a lot of water. I hung it out to dry and it didn't hurt. But I will do my best to keep it dry in the future. Also, we recently had a cold and windy day and I used it to cover the smoker like a blanket to keep him warm. To my surprise it worked perfectly and again not damaged. To be perfectly clear, I'm pretty sure these mats aren't made for this purpose, but if you're looking for an inexpensive option to protect a surface from falling ash or to maintain a smoker's temperature rating, these are for me okay. I will continue to buy them. 5 Stars!
