I'll start off by saying that I'm known in the office for being a bit (maybe very) picky when it comes to buying tools or office equipment. I spend way too much time researching so I hope this helps someone else save some time. I also bought them from Dell as the company has a Dell account and wanted me to buy from a vendor that we have an account with. I use Microsoft Office quite often at work and sit at my computer most of the day. I was looking for a monitor that would give me crisp and clear text, especially in these programs. A slight blur of text strains and tires my eyes during the day. I first tried the Dell U2415 based on good reviews and liked the bezel-less screen, but it still had some blurring around the edges of the text and the screen seemed to have very thin horizontal lines. The U2415 also has touch points for customization. Sometimes they seemed to react badly. Then I read the reviews of this P2416D monitor and decided to order it. I still had the U2415 and was able to compare two monitors side by side. The clarity and sharpness of text on the P2416D is excellent. I couldn't see any lines on the screen. It has manual adjustment buttons that are responsive. Although the screen is surrounded by a plastic bezel it has a flat surface, my old monitor was glossy and it caught reflections from my office window. I immediately noticed the difference and am satisfied with the smooth surface. I ordered another one for a dual monitor setup and now have two setups. When our director saw how this monitor compared to his own he was impressed and I ordered another one for him. If you've never used a Dell monitor before, the base is a good step up. It has a slot in the middle for cable management, it raises and lowers easily but stays in place, and has a heavy-duty swivel base that won't slip when you need to rotate the monitor. A note on the dual setup: I've found that the two P2416D monitors have slight color and brightness differences, even with the same settings. After researching this, I've found that this isn't uncommon, even with the same monitor. When I work on two screens, they had to be configured individually. When you need sharp and crisp resolution, you will love this monitor.
