I bought three of these towels for the bathroom and they are so great, now I want to buy a set of bath towels too! Firstly, for people commenting that they are not absorbing: do it! Just DO NOT use fabric softener! This is exactly where the problem lies, because the fats used in fabric softeners also repel water. And these towels are so incredibly soft, you absolutely don't need any fabric softener (unlike terry towels, which can get crusty and rough without fabric softener). When they arrived I washed them on a cycle of warm water with detergent and some vinegar in the conditioner compartment and then dried them on medium/high. I measured them before and after washing and found no shrinkage. I've found that when I use them to dry my hands, they dry MUCH faster than terry towels, so I don't dry my hands on a damp towel (fu) all the time. And because they dry faster, I don't feel like I have to change them as often as they don't get as fancy. ;) And no matter how trite it may sound, they are actually a joy to use! My college student son also commented on how incredibly soft they are! I have a few more that I've bought over the years but they are much nicer and softer. If you are looking for Turkish towels I think this is the best you will find!
