
Okay, assembly is annoying, but not "difficult". Just get ready to cut out paper. Ultimately, I have consistently good reviews because the build is worth the end product, and I don't think you'll find one of those cardboard bricks that DO NOT suck to build. Again not difficult to assemble, just rough in the hands. That's a lot of folding and folding cardboard. My 13 month (1 year) son has played with it. I know the recommended age is 3+, but whatever. He loves them and he also likes the Melissa & Doug bricks (OH! BUT YOU SHOULD TEST THEM ALL BEFORE USE! Some of the edges had to be sanded down to avoid splinters!)
