Very well made pants, fit is perfect, like a tailor hemmed them to my dimensions. As such, there isn't very much slack in the fabric for bending your knees, and if you have largish calves like I do they will be snug around your calves. I bought these for cycling (keeping pant legs out of your gears) and they are just about perfect for that amount of knee flexure.if you plan on doing anything where your knees are going to be going up past your waist line, you will need more slack in the fabric, and you will probably want to go a size higher than your actual size.That said, the waist band on the dark khaki green ones I got does not have a pull string and it is not elastic. So you will need to wear a belt with these pants.However, again, very well constructed pants for any price. Will surely stand up to heavy use and washing. I will be buying a larger size and different colors of this product for different purposes.
