Review on FIDELO Minimalist Wallet Men Credit Men's Accessories by Ryan Thrasher

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I hesitated to try it but it turned out amazing.

I reviewed this wallet because of The Ridge. Don't worry for those worried about the difference in quality compared to Fidelo's cheaper cost. The Fidelo wallet is a delight and the quality is pretty damn good. Here are my personal thoughts on this wallet. FYI, I set it up like this: - Gray metal cover - Money clip on one side for cash - Money band on the other side for receipts - 8 cards in the middle. GOOD QUALITY - I was concerned if the finishing touches would be inferior to what I would get from more expensive wallets like The Ridge. However, the edges are well cut, there are no sharp corners. The money clip is beautiful and durable, the money strap has a handle with rubber dots on the inside for whatever you want to put inside. Depending on what you're pushing, this can be difficult as the stiffness of paper materials like a receipt isn't strong enough to grip the rubberized handle. ALL IN ONE PACK - For $53 (which I paid at the time of review) you get a wallet, three faceplates (grey metal, black metal, and carbon fiber), 2 pairs of straps, plus 2 security straps (2 for card storage and 2 more money straps) and 2 money clips (if you want to use two money clips at the same time). Also comes with a star slotted screwdriver, a spare tip and even spare screws. VERTICAL DRIVE. I like the vertical pull design versus The Ridge's horizontal pull. I love that I can comfortably hold my wallet upright with one hand and squeeze from the bottom to get the cards out, as opposed to The Ridge which is awkwardly held up and down to get the cards out. This allows me to easily take out the cards and put them back in quickly. Obvious Mistake - The money clip is obviously not the best way to carry cash. It kind of slows you down and exposes the amount of cash to the public. I can't imagine carrying more than 10 bills at once, as folding it three times already makes the stack too thick for a money clip. The cards in the middle are harder to pull out, but I use a little trick with this wallet: I pull out all the cards and fan them horizontally. This way the cards are more visible and you can pull them out better. If you decide to wear checks on a money belt, you have to fold the receipts in tiny ways, which of course interferes with filing. But if you look at wallets like Fidelo or The Ridge, you're obviously willing to accept that inconvenience. Here are some setup tips if you decide to buy: - There are 6 ways to setup this wallet. 1. Usually without investment. 2. Money clip only. 3.Money band only. 4. 2 money clips 5. 2 money straps 6. 1 money clip and 1 money strap. If you decide to use more than 3 cards, you may have trouble removing cards from your wallet. A good way to stretch the strap so the cards fit comfortably is to remove the faceplates, place all your cards in the wallet, and then reattach the faceplates. This way the band stretches to fit your card configuration and the installation of the plates securely locks your band in that loose position. When attaching a money strap, try attaching it to the opposite side where the wallet strap is sewn, which will ease the tension. The front panel must withstand tightening of screws. Install the money clip on this side instead. In general I am very satisfied with the product. I'll try updating in a while and see if I still notice any issues with it.
