Kinetic Sand creates a tidy indoor experience. Sand can be fascinating even for adults, attracting the attention of children, who usually look like squirrels, jumping from one object to another. Kinetic sand is surprisingly soft and pliable and doesn't have the texture of regular sand. It's more like soft putty than real sand and sticks together well. Sometimes there are random pieces, but they are much easier to remove than plasticine. It has a really soft silicone scent that I find really uniquely intriguing and oddly pleasant. The joy of kinetic sand will make you want to rid your house of the horrible plasticine. First, it's a lot more fun and tactile to sculpt in your hands. Most importantly, kinetic sand leaves little to no mess and doesn't stick to anything. Pieces randomly falling on the floor are easy to clean up. Kinetic sand also does not dry out like plasticine. It comes in a resealable bag, but more to keep it safe than to keep it from drying out. I feel like parents can actually get away from kids playing with kinetic sand instead of following every move when using playdough and still find chunks stuck in the carpet. 3.25 pounds of kinetic sand in this bag was enough to keep me sitting at my desk. four (two children, two adults). Our 3 year old enjoyed building a kinetic sand construction site with his excavators and bulldozers and the sand never stuck to any of the toys. This kinetic sand is a 5 star product and catches the eye of most kids (and adults). within hours, with minimal mess and easy cleanup.
