They just don't work, don't last, something will break - go somewhere else

I purchased 4 of these "top down bottom up type" black out shades which arrived end of April. They are roughly 35" x 74" and I have had them for less than a month. I installed 3 of 4, and all 3 have issues. All of them will not close completely when pushed to the top, one side droops on all blinds. The top down portion work(ed) fine for a while until one started having issues closing and the strings leveling themselves. And I have been babying them, trying to be very gentle. One of the 4 now will not raise to the top, and is stuck open. For around $100 per blind and $400+ for all these should function better, and I have other from another company which have worked flawlessly and smoother than these.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • The cordless design may require users to exert more force to adjust the shade, leading to tired hands.
