I've always hated phone mounts on air vents. If it doesn't completely block airflow from the vent, it will block your ability to regulate airflow. So I was very happy to find this magnetic phone holder made specifically for the 2017-2018 Audi A6! Once installed, it looks almost OEM. My package didn't have installation instructions, but it's pretty easy to install. You simply attach the bracket to the bracket and then attach the bracket to the center dash. At first I made the mistake of just trying to snap the bracket on top. When you do this it just hangs on the vent frame and the mount is not secured at all. To install it properly, you need to insert the small bottom bracket legs between the radio and the dash and then snap them into the vent hole. Once complete, the mount does not move at all. Once fixed, you can move the bracket left and right a little to adjust the position as you like. However, I would advise figuring out where you want it first before snapping it fully into place so you don't scratch the finish of your luxury Audi as you slide it left and right! The product description says the mount will fit a 4.7-5 inch phone but I have a 6.3 inch Google Pixel 3 XL and it looks pretty secure so far. I will update my review if the phone falls while driving. I know branding is everything so I understand why a manufacturer would put their logo right in the middle of the magnet, but if I wanted to do better they should have put the Audi ring right in the middle. You can still attach the CLEC label. Instead, place the smaller one on the edge of the magnet. That would be ideal!
