Everything is fine. Converts SATA to SAS (pin to pin). But be careful, that doesn't mean you can read a SAS drive with a SATA interface. The protocol is different. So I don't know what this adapter is for. I would like to enlighten the manufacturer. ----- Update ----- The seller (or manufacturer?) contacted me about my review. I agree with you, I bought this part thinking I could use it with my SATA controller. So if it's not well explained, you NEED a controller compatible with SAS drives. In fact, I didn't know such SATA controllers existed. I mainly use SAS controllers on servers. Most SAS controllers are SATA compatible and do not require adapters. Overall a good product. 4/5 stars because there are no explanations.
