Filter suitable for ShopVac. The smell upon opening the sealed package was overpowering. I put it aside for a couple of weeks before using it, hoping it was just a build up. I installed it when the surrounding smell seemed less. Initial use - the smell of chemicals was very strong and carried everywhere. Every time I used it over the following months I always had to take into account where the exhaust would try to soften it by blowing out/blowing out. When used indoors without open windows, the smell is very aggressive. The odor persists until removed by fresh air. When you are unable to do this for whatever reason, it is very frustrating.
