This hub works well with my MacBook Pro. one card slot each - some of these additional ports may not be needed. What can I say, this hub looked really cool at first glance. However, there are tradeoffs. Firstly the ports you get when you connect this hub. (C) to connect it. So you actually lose 1 USB 3.1 (C) port, which is actually the most important port on my laptop. Also, you can only use one of the card's ports at a time. So you really get 4 ports simultaneously for the price of 2 MacBook Pro ports. I'm not sure the trade-off is worth the hub. So far I use Cardports quite often. I can use one of my USB-A ports for a card reader. The only thing I really get with this hub is a 4K HDMI port. What say works without problems. Although this hub may be useful for others. It's not something I can use as the compromises are too high for my needs.
