I have tried many collars in this price range. My first requirement was the size. Most standard size collars are too heavy for a dog under 10 pounds. Searching "small breed bark collars" here on Amazon is very misleading as many sellers write something like "bark collars for small, medium and large dogs"! You order them and they are huge! This is truly the smallest collar I have found in years of buying and returning. The box is barely an inch long! If you have a chihuahua, a pompom or a tiny dachshund, this collar is REALLY tiny, at least half the size of the competition. I put it on a 5 lb dog and it doesn't weigh him down. That works too. It will beep and vibrate throughout the cycle until the dog gets the message. I would also like a lock, but unfortunately there is no perfect product. It works on my dogs 90% of the time and believe me it's better than most similar collars. After trying one, I went back yesterday and bought seven more, one for each dog in the house. Rescuer.
