I bought this fan to replace the fan on my desk which was over 10 years old and dying. This Sharper Image fan is much smaller and saved a lot of space on my desk. At least once a day it gets hot in my office. This little fan is about 3 feet away from me. The high setting is usually too high for me. I get cold and sometimes my eyes dry out. The lower setting is just right for cooling me down. I like the rotation function. When I have a lot of papers on my desk, I turn the fan up so the air circulates but the papers aren't blown away. It's also very quiet, almost silent at low revs. It's very modern and stylish and adds a certain class to my office. The reason this review is not a five star is because of the power button, up/down. There is a "button" that you press to turn the fan on, then press again to go to the low setting, then press again to turn it off. Sometimes it takes a few touches for the fan to respond. Apart from that I couldn't be happier. I definitely recommend this fan.
