Over the past 3 years I have assembled a collection of Ulanzi lighting and photo/phone gear and have never been impressed by the performance or performance of these well designed and made products been disappointed. Construction and Materials: Because the top mounting plates, head and ball of this tripod are made entirely of aluminum and surrounded by thick ABS material, it is extremely resistant to damage to the ball joint that can result from over-tightening mini tripods, which are all made of plastic. All other components, from the legs to the telescoped poles, are also of good quality and overall the package feels very solid. Functions and Features: The regular 1/4" screw mount works as expected, and the drawbar holds the camera securely. The tripod legs connect together, which isn't typically found on selfie stick and tripod combos. The height is adjustable but not fixed. It extends telescopically, and while it's fairly sturdy, it won't support a large single-lens DSLR when fully extended. However, at a certain height, this tripod can still support a large camera. Bonus: the box includes UURIG and ULANZI stickers to put on my hard cases, laptops or helmets. Expansion Ideas: If you plan to use this with the Pro, note that you need to buy a 1/4 inch GoPro mount adapter to mount it on this tripod. The height is adjustable but not fixed.
