worked great for me. I'm not too tech savvy but the splitter plays audio for TV and music when the TV is off and when connected to the TV I can use Dolby for surround sound so it did everything I needed. In addition, a normal infrared remote control is used for the switch. So if you have a universal programmable remote control, you can easily program it to this remote control. I connected it to my Broadlink RM Pro (universal remote), so it automatically switches from my Alexa and never crashes when switching (some of my other devices don't work with the remote). the build quality is actually very good. , if I remember correctly it has a metal body, solid construction and great looks.
