A little holiday fantasy

What started a few years ago with buying one of the Christmas Village buildings, which we did because it was heavily discounted after the holiday, has become an annual tradition. In fact, we didn't have enough space to show them all. But we still do. It takes a full day each year to build them all, and we tend to exaggerate all the little details that make it our little town. We still buy them on the spur of the moment, not because anyone particularly stands out, but because we think they're cute. And that describes this house and the reason I wanted it as soon as I saw it. WHAT YOU GET Before reading further, please read the product description carefully and understand that it is not on the same scale as normal village houses. It is very clearly described as approximately 3" x 5" which is generous. It's surprisingly well detailed considering it usually sells for thirteen dollars. The trees are just as lifelike as more expensive products, and the colors are vibrant and rich. The construction is made of high quality resin. This is not a plug-in building, it is powered by two AAA batteries that only illuminate the trim of the snowy eaves. STORY Those who construct the buildings of Christmas Village know that every building tells a story, and much of that story is a pipe dream. . You can imagine arriving and being a guest at places like a ski lodge or a train station, a hairdresser or even a pet shop. Who you see and what you do is part of the fantasy and magic of the holiday itself. In this Santa's house you'll see Santa, a baby and a giant bag of presents. There are no reindeer in sight and your imagination can guess the rest of this story. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW, they were surprised they didn't have a window light or that the tiny lights along the eaves weren't multicolored. I'm not saying it's bad, you just have to know. Luckily, the lights are perfect in their brightness, just enough to illuminate the building and characters without being overpowering. Two AAA batteries last the entire holiday season, and they have the foresight to turn on the power slide switch on the bottom. There are many details and it is very festive. The smaller size makes it perfect for places where there isn't enough space for tall buildings. I think I'll put it on my desktop so I can get into holiday fantasies while I work. You can't go wrong, I say do it.
