When making the purchase decision, I was concerned that 3.5 inch light might not be powerful enough, or that the gooseneck is too short, or that I want to hold 2 cameras will be a problem. Also worried it might overheat as some have complained or the compression clamp not working well etc. But to be honest as long as it works the way it is the thing is almost perfect. for my needs. First, I mostly turn the lights on at the lowest setting! The light is bright enough at low levels, and it works amazingly for zooming. I plugged the USB into an outlet/power supply (not my computer) as suggested. Read the instructions or the list and it will show and mention that the AC adapter works best and it really does. longer is no problem. And with my two cameras, an adapter is great. For the other camera I use the small phone adapter that came with it and put a piece of rubber O-ring in it so my second camera now holds pretty securely. [Cm. Image] While not as good as the second camera adapter, it works quite well. While it would be difficult for my wife to open and use, this is actually the right voltage to work properly. If it had been made looser to make it easier for my wife to use it, it wouldn't hold on to the table tight enough to work well and THAT would be a real problem. Hats off to whoever got it right! It even has a premium rubber pad to protect the furniture. Although difficult to put on, it is reliable and stable in use as it should be. For people who think it's too tight, there are some with a screw clamp that might work better for you. This seems like a good alternative (as long as it's strong enough not to bend or "give" in use, which I can't tell since I don't have a screw clamp). I bought this with a compression style clip as I thought it would be better for my needs and I love it. The controller is a nice feature and works great. Furthermore, it is a very well designed and built item and I am very happy with it, especially for the reasonable price they charge for it. The price and features motivated me to buy and try it, and the quality made me keep it, probably buy another one AND highly recommend it to others! Again, if this all continues to work the way it's working now, I have no real complaints at all. I am satisfied with the good quality, especially for the price. Although I chose a product that I hoped was not too expensive but still of good quality, my expectations were met and exceeded! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! Excellent work.
