I have relatively oily skin and have tried several moisturizers before settling on this one. It's light and has a nice citrus/clean scent. I wouldn't say it mattifies, but it doesn't add any oil. At first I tried both night and day, but then I started applying only at night and using another Aesop moisturizer. throughout the day for some SPF protection. One pump is enough for the whole face and one bottle (2.5 ounces) lasts 4-6 months. I feel like I wake up every morning with firmer, more protected skin and it honestly makes the mornings more comfortable. Highly recommend, especially over their daily protectant lotion (which I also tried and is much heavier and leaves more residue).
