adhesion and different degrees of brightness are wonderful. It's probably best to control them via an app on your phone rather than using another remote. I've used the app to successfully set it up for a night schedule, but the downsides are that you can only set specific times, no sunrise and sunset settings relative to your location. I also noticed that the schedule can be turned off - my theory is that since it's app based and the app is on my iPhone, if my iPhone isn't around it doesn't immediately register that the light is on will or off. I bought 4 pin RGB LED strip connectors so I can cut them up and use them to turn right angle corners. Too bad I didn't as I had a few failed attempts which resulted in me having to cut the strip more to connect properly. Instead, I recommend not using clamps, but simply making a right angle with the bar itself. It's flexible enough to help with this, and the backing of the strip is sticky enough that even a small loop created by your forced right turn in the strip will still hold it in place. Of course I used them on the back of a large bookshelf where I wanted a backlight and could afford ugly hinges or connection errors, but I think it wouldn't be a bad thing even if the strip was more visible.
